Mark is primarily involved in Grainmarket’s acquisition and banking relationships in addition to being Chair of the Investment Committee. Mark originally began his property investment career in the North West London residential market in 1996 and switched to focus on commercial property shortly afterwards. He launched his first commercial property collective investment scheme, First Property Growth Partnership, in 2001 followed by First UK Property Growth in 2004 and the PGF Funds in 2007. Mark was a founding partner of Grainmarket in 2005. Mark started his career on The London Metal Exchange in 1981, moving to LIFFE in 1986. During his time in the financial markets Mark also worked for Billiton, Lehman Brothers & Man Group.

David is focused on acquisitions and funding. Prior to joining Grainmarket, David was a Portfolio Manager at Magnetar Capital where he had responsibility for the origination and management of European asset-backed investments. Prior to Magnetar, David was a Portfolio Manager at Voras Capital. Formerly, David spent twelve years as a structured finance professional at Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers. David graduated from Trinity College, Dublin with a BA in Management Science. He also holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Phil is focused on acquisitions and asset management. Phil currently oversees Plymouth Residential, the residential development arm of Grainmarket Asset Management. Phil oversees all aspects of the development programme from feasibility and strategy through to construction and marketing. Prior to Grainmarket, Phil held roles with the Brunei Investment Agency and South Kensington Estates. Phil is a Chartered Surveyor and graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with an Honours Degree in Business and a Masters (MSc) in Property Management and Investment.

Peter is responsible for the property and asset management operations. Peter joined in 2004, and formed Optimum Property Management to manage in-house the growing portfolio. The management of the portfolio is varied, and includes lettings, lease surrenders, dilapidations, rent reviews, lease renewals, arbitrations, lease re-gearing, dealing with applications for alteration and assignment, refurbishment projects (large and small), administering the service charge, and rent collection. Peter has also been involved in establishing an in-house maintenance company to deal with the day-to-day maintenance of the portfolio. Peter is a Chartered Surveyor and has previously worked for the io Group, Barker Storey Matthews and Cambridge City Council.

Susanna is responsible for the accountancy and finance functions in addition to Grainmarket’s compliance function. Her team of three people undertake financial planning and control, pre-audit in addition to investor returns analysis and reporting. Susanna joined Grainmarket in 2005 and has been a partner since 2006. During her time with Grainmarket, she has been heavily involved with the setting up of the PGF funds, and expanding the accounting team and systems to allow the continued growth of the business. Susanna graduated from Cambridge University in 1985 with a degree in Metallurgy and Materials Science. She started her career with accountancy firm Deloitte Haskins and Sells, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1988. Susanna is a Liveryman of the Gardeners’ Company.
Finance and Office Manager

Danielle joined Grainmarket in 2008 and is the Finance and Office Manager, as part of Susanna’s team. Danielle focuses on office management, HR and service charge accounts and also acts as PA to Mark Crader. Danielle has completed the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business. Her previous career included working in mortgage administration and for a large fund manager.

Niall joined Grainmarket in 2012. As the facilities manager Niall is responsible for various aspects of the business which include managing refurbishment, renovations, office moves, maintenance and health and safety requirements. Niall works closely with Peter to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the portfolio. He also oversees the incumbent sub-contractors that work within the portfolio.

Millie joined Grainmarket in 2012 and works as an Assistant Accountant for Susanna focusing on monthly and quarterly financial reporting. Millie has completed Levels 2 & 3 of the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification and is now working towards completing her Level 4 Diploma. Millie started her career in finance working for a fashion company. Millie attended The London College of Fashion and graduated in 2010.

Karah joined Grainmarket in 2015. She works as part of the Accounting and Finance Department managed by Susanna Morriss and has responsibility for the purchase ledger. Karah is currently studying towards Level 2 of the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification.
